Brief description

The tenth cooperative that we document is the COPPALJ, located in the Maranhao State, Brazil.

The COPPALJ teaches us how cooperatives can be a vehicle not only for women empowerment, but also for poverty reduction and foster freedom and the common good. The coop totally changed the quality of life of all the inhabitants of the Lago do Junco e Rodrigues municipalities, by showing us that together we are stronger.
